Helping Design Professionals Streamline, Simplify & Succeed

Hey Lovely!

I’ve become much more intentional with my mornings. For years, I dove straight into work—coffee in hand, inbox open, and already chasing the day. Recently, I started delaying my workday by just one hour (gasp- guess what the world did not come to an end), and the difference has been remarkable. That small shift has created space for clarity: time to stretch, journal, check in with my priorities, and ease into the day with focus instead of frenzy.

This week, I’m sharing a peek into my own routine and the tools I lean on daily to stay grounded, productive, and ready to lead my business with intention.

As we head into Q4, it’s the perfect time to pause, reset, and get intentional. Think of this quarter as your runway into 2026—you want to land smoothly, not skid in sideways. Today I’m sharing how I plan ahead and how my daily routines anchor me so I don’t get swept into chaos.

Now, let’s dive in! 🚀

Tips, Tools & Takeaways for Designers

3 Tips for Q4 Planning & Daily Routine

Start with Your Big Three
Choose the three most important outcomes you want to achieve by year-end. Everything else should support, not distract, from those priorities.

Anchor Your Days
A daily routine doesn’t have to be rigid—it’s about touchpoints that ground you. For me, that’s my CEO Date on Mondays at 10 a.m., time blocking deep work, and Pomodoro sprints when my energy dips.

Create White Space
Your calendar isn’t only for doing—it’s also for thinking. Protect at least one 30–60 minute block a week for reflection, recalibration, or simply stepping back. That space is often where the best ideas (and solutions) show up.

2 Resources to Check Out

📌 Mydoma’s Project Calendar & Task Manager
Sync your design work, appointments, and deadlines so nothing falls through the cracks. It’s a sanity saver when juggling multiple projects. Best for designers who feel their tasks are scattered across sticky notes, spreadsheets, and email threads.

📌 The Model Calendar Method
A time-blocking framework that ensures you’re balancing design work, admin, marketing, and rest. Best for creatives who struggle to set boundaries and want structure without rigidity.

As you step into Q4, remember: small shifts in your daily routine can create big ripple effects in your business. The way you begin your day shapes not just your hours, but the quality of your client work, your creativity, and your ability to scale with ease.

Design Clarity Weekly Helping Design Professionals Streamline, Simplify & Succeed Hey Lovely! As we come to the end of the year, I’ve been spending time reflecting — on the work, the conversations, the connections, and the quiet nudges that have been guiding me toward what’s next. If you’ve been a long-time subscriber, you may have noticed I’ve been dropping a few hints over the past months. All I’ll say for now is this: my word for the year ahead is Trust. Trusting myself. Design Clarity Weekly hHelping Design Professionals Streamline, Simplify & Succeed Hi Lovely, I’ll be honest — January is historically a tough month for me.I can slip into a bit of seasonal sadness, and over the years I’ve learned to recognize it before it spirals. Maybe you’ve felt it too: The post-holiday let-down, the darker mornings, the cold settling in… Or, in my case, the quiet that hits when the kids head back to university and the house feels a little too still. Because I know this...
