Helping Design Professionals Streamline, Simplify & Succeed

Hi friend,

Summer has a way of changing our rhythm.

The kids are home, vacations are on the calendar, projects seem to pick up all at once, and before we know it, the routines that served us so well in the spring begin to feel a little more chaotic.

At the same time, there's another reality quietly sitting in the back of our minds; we're halfway through the year.

If you're anything like the designers I work with, you've probably started having an internal dialogue.

"Am I where I thought I'd be by now?"

"Will I hit my revenue goals?"

"Do I have enough work booked for the fall?"

"What needs to change over the next six months?"

Those questions are completely normal.

This week, April Stroink and I hosted our Money Matters webinar, and one theme kept surfacing throughout our conversation:

Clarity creates confidence.

Not because everything is perfect, but because you understand where your business stands today and you know what actions will move you forward tomorrow.

So before another busy summer week slips by, here are three simple things I'd encourage you to do. Small actions now can make a remarkable difference in how you finish the year.

Tips, Tools & Takeaways for Designers

3 Small Shifts That Can Strengthen Your Business

Schedule a Financial Friday (or Money Monday) Block 30–60 minutes on your calendar every single week.

Review:

  • Revenue received
  • Outstanding invoices
  • Upcoming expenses
  • Cash flow
  • Your Profit & Loss

Treat this meeting with yourself like you would a client meeting. Don't cancel.

Audit Your Website

Ask yourself: Does my homepage clearly explain what I do? Is it obvious who I help? Is there one clear next step? Would my ideal client understand the value of working with me in under 30 seconds?

Your website should be working for you even while you’re sleeping. Work on this during your next weekly CEO Date.

Stop Looking for the Perfect Next Step Many designers spend weeks researching software, pricing, branding, or social media strategies. Progress usually comes from making one decision and moving forward.

Momentum creates clarity.

1 Question for You

🤔 If you gave yourself three uninterrupted hours to work on your business this month...what would you finally tackle?

Would it be your website?

Your pricing?

Your onboarding process?

Your workflows?

Your finances?

Hit reply and let me know. I read every email, and I'd genuinely love to hear what's keeping you stuck right now.
