New Chapter, Same Mission: Supporting Designers with Clarity & Calm

Design Clarity Weekly

Helping Design Professionals Streamline, Simplify & Succeed

Hello Friends,

Last Thursday marked the end of a chapter for me. It was my last day as Senior Implementation Specialist with Mydoma, a position I would have held for four years on January 31.

This past 18 months, I’ve been quietly building the second arm of my business ; showing up to support designers through my Bring Calm to Chaos program and Virtual Admin Support hours. Leaving Mydoma was not a decision I took lightly, but it was one I worked toward intentionally.

I’m in a chapter of life where I’m a part-time empty nester with both kids away at university. I wanted autonomy over my days and work that is deeply fulfilling. I firmly believe that all of my skills and experiences — spanning over three decades — have prepared me to show up fully for the designers I work with. I also truly believe God allows us to meld all our experiences and skills to create a career where we can serve, support, and provide real value.

I’m so excited about this next chapter and showing up for you.

Now, let’s dive in! 🚀

Tips, Tools & Takeaways for Designers

Design your workflow for autonomy — set up processes that allow you to step away without chaos.

Invest in your systems from client onboarding to project management, strong systems = clarity + confidence.

Design Clarity Weekly Helping Design Professionals Streamline, Simplify & Succeed Hi friends, Since it’s Friday, I'm sharing something new this week called Financial Fridays; a simple way to bring more clarity to the financial side of your design business. And the timing couldn’t be better. We’re closing in on the end of the third quarter, and for many designers it’s also tax season; that time of year when we finally sit down with our numbers and try to make sense of what the year has looked...

Design Clarity Weekly Helping Design Professionals Streamline, Simplify & Succeed Ladies, it's time to be radical. What does radical mean to you? I’ll admit; it’s not a word I hear often. The first thing that came to mind was those cheesy 1980s movies where everything was “radical.” But recently the word has come up a few times in conversations, podcasts, and business discussions. And when something shows up repeatedly, I’ve learned to pause and pay attention. So I asked myself: What does it...

Design Clarity Weekly Helping Design Professionals Streamline, Simplify & Succeed Hey Lovely! A beautiful design on paper means very little without the right people bringing it to life. If you’ve ever had a contractor ghost you mid-project… Or an installer rush a job that deserved more care… You know exactly what I mean. The truth? Great trades are one of the most valuable assets in your business and the designers who build strong trade relationships create smoother projects, happier clients,...
